About the client

TANU Ice Cream is a local artisanal brand that needed a vibrant digital presence to capture the essence of their product without relying on massive advertising budgets. Unlike traditional food websites that function as static menus, TANU sought to create an emotional connection with its customers through a unique online experience.

The client aimed to turn a simple "brochure site" into an interactive playground. Overall, TANU is a brand that values creativity and joy, offering customers not just ice cream, but a memorable interaction that starts the moment they land on the website.

Challenges

Standing out in the crowded food market with a limited marketing budget presented a significant challenge. The primary obstacle was to avoid the "standard landing page" trap—static text and images—which often fails to engage users or create a lasting impression.

The project required a solution that would generate an immediate "wow effect" to compensate for the lack of paid traffic. Additionally, the site needed to be technically lightweight and easy to maintain while offering complex, game-like interactivity that works smoothly across devices.


Solution statement

To create a captivating solution for TANU, we rejected standard web frameworks in favor of a physics-based, interactive approach using Tumult Hype 4. Our primary focus was on "gamifying" the user experience to increase time-on-site and brand recall.

Our decision involved replacing traditional scrolling and static layouts with dynamic elements that react to the user’s cursor and touch. We developed a customized interface where product elements obey the laws of physics, allowing users to "play" with the brand. This strategy turned the interface itself into a marketing tool.

So a creative approach combining motion design and front-end logic ensures that the website is not just informative, but entertaining. This includes optimizing the physics engine to ensure the "living product" feel is seamless, making the site a point of attraction for both new and loyal customers.
